This is actually a useful exercise for me - helps me to "see" what might be added next. I'm open to suggestions. ;-)

Galway on 64 last. I just received a pair of Wigmores, really nice boots. If you bought yours at LeatherFoot, they probably have wensum soles. How do you like them?

^^^ Cheers - and congrats on your Wigmores - I think they rank among THE contemporary classics in a balmoral boot. Mine are from Leatherfoot and are on the Wensum soles.

I like 'em a bunch. Very comfortable straight out of the box (just about no break-in period) and nicely grippy on the icy sidewalks that have been just about a daily reality for me this winter. I wouldn't mind if they were slightly thicker - not a double sole, but maybe just 30% more. Strictly down to personal preference as I have come to really like a very solid feel underfoot.

Great stuff Gerry! You're making me realize I need some more shell ...

Thanks! Well, all I can say is that it IS the Year of the Horse

Real quality across the board as well, Gerry. Would a collection of this caliber be very unusual for Melbourne? It certainly would be for Toronto.

Thank you kindly! Your collection of boots is stunning! I think a collection like this would be out of the ordinary over here in Melbourne but people don't normally talk about their shoe collections so you never know.
