Dammit, order more samples. This fragrance stuff is addicting. Just to think I was so against them for so long.

I thought you traveled with FM Geranium Pour Monsieur? Or am I thinking of someone else?

I like Anubis. A bit of a strange fragrance and I had a hard time thinking of what kind of outfit I'd wear with it, so I never bought a bottle. But it feels very much like a winter fragrance you'd mostly wear at home with a sweater.

Anubis is great smelling; I found it didn't last on me as long as I wanted. but i guess if you are like putting it on to go out or can reapply midday or something, it'd work great. i'm just a sucker for an all-day scent.

Chypre Palatin is what i wear when i go to weddings.

Nice choice with MDCI's Chypre Palatin. I also have a sample of it. It's very true to its name, with that distinctive Chypre profile dominating in the opening hours. Dries down to create a beautiful semi-sweet labdanum, oakmoss, and ylang ylang accord. Kind of tough to wear and not really my style, so I'd never really get a bottle, but I appreciate it's quality.

I used to but the 30 mL versus the 50 mL round bottle, which is the Geranium Pour Monsieur, is much more convenient. Good memory!

Anubis is fantastic - it's resinous and yet has this dry bitterness that keeps it from ever straying into anything cloying, and yet it is very cozy.

Yeah, I am liking chypre. I never thought I would be into anything lively, or fruity, but when done right with oakmoss and sometimes musk it completely changes it. I love how they evolve.
