Anyone in Mid-California have nothing to do this Christmas? Does your family hate you/are you a communist atheist/just bored? December 19th-29th I am going to try and take a trip to visit Mnemonic (fresh out of boot camp, clean shaven, and ready to be dropped headfirst down the barrel of the Armed Forces Linguistic Academy at Monterey) I'm probably taking Amtrak down. Why? Because its only $88 one way, thats why. I'll do the whole meet & greet thing, sign autographs, kiss hands and shake babies... the whole 9 yards. Anyone interested in getting together? This may be your only chance to take me out to dinner! EVER!

Ahaha... that means I have to pack a suit. And I'll STILL feel underdressed!

I'll be there for the beginning in San Francisco and will be passing through Monterrey on the way to the warmth of Palm Springs just after Christmas. I am definitely up for a get together.

I will be arriving at SJC (San Jose) on December 19th around 8:30 am and leaving from SJC on December 27th at 6:30am.

As of right now I have no hotel, rental car, or plans actually. But I assume that I'll be spending at least a few days in Monterey, a few days in Frisco, and a few days panhandling.

For those of you who are planning on meeting me down there, keep in touch!

I live in the South Bay, so I shall be around if I'm not off ski-ing in Tahoe. I'd be honored to offer you a libation of your choosing.

Someone lend Slim a couch to crash on for god's sake. Actually....I think all Bay Area forum members should offer Slim their couch for one night each, and he should move around and write reviews on the comfort of each couch in the Fine Living board

lol that would be hilarious

but I actually meant that I didn't know what hotel/motel/holiday inn I'd be staying at yet, not that I had nowhere to stay.

I'm so ******* cool, merriam-webster just added that and many other seemingly misspelled words so I'll never have to spell check again. I also once called the Vice President "Mr. President", but realized my mistake and shot the President. I am never wrong. Too bad we're missing paths. Could have been a perfect opportunity to host a Slick Rick/Kurupt forum in Oakland with a early-mid 90s fashion focus.

I *was* planning on bringing my maroon checkerboard Stacy Adams 3 peice suit to rock out when I met Manton...
