Yeah, it's been a little over a week since I sent him my info for an invoice with no response. Don't know how long it usually takes so figured I'd just be patient.

Never heard of this, how much are the subsequent pairs?

No doubt, the price is what it is, and it’s a lot. That said, the first bite is the worst, because that’s when he builds the custom last. After that initial pair, he can re-use the last pattern, and subsequent orders are significantly less expensive. So it is kind of an investment...

It’s been taking him a while to respond to me as well, about two weeks between responses. When he’s not in the shop he’s in the gym haha

I didn’t ask, but based on the emphasis of how expensive the initial custom last process was, I got the feeling that subsequent pairs would run somewhere in the 1k-2k range. Maybe more. But I could be totally wrong.

It is a hell of a wait for sure. I've wanted these boots for a while though so I'm willing to hold out.
Yeah totally. Better to just have your deposit in and forget about it and it’ll eventually get here. I’ll still have a second pair for summer ‘22 to wait on but I don’t even think about it.

What did you have him do for the re-last? Increase width?
I had him relast it to my foot specs and on the 722 last

when I purchased these Aldens (my first pair at the time) it was a half size too big. I went to the shop, got measured and went from there.

It was honestly a great time with Brian when I got measured. He’s such a cool dude
