A lot of nice pieces in Relwen's new line. I saw a few of their pieces at Earnest Sewn's meatpacking store over the weekend and just checked it out online.

The site has Steven Alan's as the only online retailer but they don't have any online stock. Anyone know other sites that carry Relwen, or perhaps other stores in NYC that will have more of a selection?

Thanks.

Ian had some of their pieces in the online store a few weeks back, but they're all gone now. They were on sale, so I don't know if they sold out or just took them down.

Every time I see the name of this line, I assume it's an anagram or spells something backwards, like Edun.

Renewl? Close.

I like the boardshorts and the range jacket. I also am curious about the drawstring desert pants.

I guess I'm not too high fashion. I think a lot of jcrew stuff fits my style, just that it's often overpriced and of questionable quality.

Some of you guys can come off as a little snobbish. What's wrong with this line? Looks like they're nice pieces, and from the stuff I saw at Earnest Sewn last weekend it's good quality stuff.

Less J Crew than a 'designer' Abercrombie, IMO. Which isn't bad - Abercrombie would be perfectly fine without the branding for the most part.

That's fine dude, most people on this board aren't, I'm recently getting into that stuff but I don't really own much. My point is that there's a ton of stuff that looks the same and doesn't really do anything for me, I think other people feel that way too.

lost boys stocks this in DC. tbh it's pretty meh. pricey for what it is, not really distinctive, fit is blah.

I've tried some of the winter outerwear on at the Steven Alan sample sale. It was heavily discounted last year (I recall $70 for a heavy jacket) but even at that price I wasn't interested. Something just seemed off.

it seems they want to be capture the aesthetic of a japanese workwear brand, but any attempts are ruined by the boxy fit and the meh detailing. the only item that 'interested' me was a $600 shawl collar sweater.. and it was a $600 for a wool sweater. no thanks.

whodini saw some of the stuff when we visited lost boys.

+1 on the characterization, although I'm not so keen on this. There's still some branding on this, and Abercrombie fits badly, regardless of branding.

It bugs me when people blindly call every mall-aesthetic brand J. Crew-esque. I know the Crew is nothing especially high fashion, but it's got more vision than your everyday mall store.

N(N) folds and this is the kind of mediocre, derivative overpriced nonsense that stays in business?
