It looks nice to me. The pants are more plain (micro patterned), so it's fine.

Looks like grey flannel - don't think there's any pattern

I think it looks good but I wouldn't do it. There's four or five pairs of trousers that I would reach for before a grey flannel with this coat. Maybe I'm just addicted to contrast

I agree with this.
I have a almost the same grey herringbone SC and IRL it looks off with grey trousers.

I would vote for contrast. It is too close for my tastes. However, it is far more appealing than the NYC lumberjack look. It seems that that guy from Solomeo is showing close, but not matching, shades of gray on jackets, pants and sweaters a lot this past fall/winter and influencing a few people.
