mismatching patterns with the color so close looks weird to me.

Are you serious about the pants vs. jacket? That look above oozes effortless cool. The two undone buttons on the jacket cuff might give yfyf something to shoot for though [IMG]

Agreed. It's just too close for comfort. Looks weird and confusing

It looks nice to me. The pants are more plain (micro patterned), so it's fine.

This looks good- tweed SC + plain flannel trousers. I have to quote PG:"I'm book marking this". This goes directly into my 'style files'.

Looks like grey flannel - don't think there's any pattern

I think it looks good but I wouldn't do it. There's four or five pairs of trousers that I would reach for before a grey flannel with this coat. Maybe I'm just addicted to contrast

    I agree with this.
I have a almost the same grey herringbone SC and IRL it looks off with grey trousers.

I would vote for contrast. It is too close for my tastes. However, it is far more appealing than the NYC lumberjack look. It seems that that guy from Solomeo is showing close, but not matching, shades of gray on jackets, pants and sweaters a lot this past fall/winter and influencing a few people.

Looks like he got dressed in the dark, mixed up suit pieces and then convienced The Sart, "this is not a mistake, this is Sprezzatura!!!!"

Nah, WAYWT is all about group hug unless it's someone new.
