I use Saphir Renovateur/Créme 1925. Works a treat. Idk about "waterproofing" per se, since this would suffocate the leather, but it makes the boots waterrepellant well enough for day to day wears here in Sweden.Man I love my new Islays!!!!
How do you care for them in regards of waterproofing?
I'm leaning towards using spray instead of Obenauf's since the latter darkened and dulled my Red Wings quite a bit.
I use reno only to the point where the patina gets too deep for my taste, then I use 1925 for some repigmentation. The scotch country wears and ages so well tho, and the boots love som patina imo. Also they won't get too shiny for casual wears with reno only.
