Does this work? Better suggestions? White cotton/linen pants below so I didn't want to use white linen PS. Right instinct? Shirt is actually a mid/light blue with white and dark blue stripes.

(Bonus points for matching the menu?

^^^I have a personal preference that pocket squares, unless they are white linen, should have some pattern or at least a contrasting colored border. I find solid colored ones downright dull (especially cream and burgundy). This preference is probably the result of seeing far too many matching solid tie and pocket square sets at weddings and proms over the years.

I agree. How about a yellow square would look better with a navy or white border??

Fair enough. So would either (or both) of these have been better? (Paul Stuart / Kent Wang respectively)
