No good?

It is hard for me to tell all the colors of your outfit. Is that a lilac shirt in both cases? Same plain pocket square?

That's an interesting suggestion. While I've wool ties, I do not own any wool pocket squares. Perhaps I'll give one a go. Thank you.

Where would you find wool PS's though?

I had a Harris Tweed jacket in heather greys and blues along with a navy wool pocket square with burgundy and tan pheasants and burgundy border. Looked great.

They come up in the fall. Traditional British hunting stores often have them. Hard to find them now as we are moving into spring. Here is a nice green one that I have. As you can see it has a very different look than silk or linen. Much more casual. Ideal for tweed or winter cotton jackets.

But I think it would have been stronger without a pocket square rather than the one you selected or with a white linen pocket square to pick up on the white dots of your tie. If you really wanted burgundy then a burgundy paisley might be nice but it would have to be just the right shade to coordinate with the shirt. I think the white linen would be my #1 recommendation Moo. Have you ever tried it? Actually, I'd love to see those same photos with a white linen replacement. But not a TV fold, try relaxed points.

I'd probably go with light blue or white (maybe a dirty white/light gray). I'm uninteresting like that.

(Not to say that I do not have flamboyant pocket squares - I do, I just save those for my drunken festivities, and those rarely happen when I'm dressed in tweed.)

Thanks PSG. White linen square is something that's been on my "to get" list for... ever. Dunno why I don't have one. I have a white/red/pink/bit of yellow linen square that I love... maybe it would work. Here:

This pocket square needs a whole different outfit. It would be a fun spring/summer pocket square.

I did start selling a cream pocket square because of you, though. It hasn't sold too well, and I hardly ever wear it. Maybe I'll warm up to it.

I tend to wear my cream square with a blue-based shirt. I also bought it on Foo's influence, and though I don't normally wear a blue shirt (white is my go-to), I feel it works quite nicely.

It's not a perfect square there, for sure. The story with that square with that outfit is that I took the jacket on a New Year's cruise and forgot a PS. Or so I thought... I found that one stuffed in the breast pocket, and so on it went.

You're in luck, my friend. I'm selling excellent white linen pocket squares. I could ship one out tomorrow.
