Yeah, I used to have an aversion to black shoes, which I only recently overcame within the last few years, but that suit would look great with black wingtips.

I still have an aversion to black shoes, I’d love to see that outfit with dark brown quarter brogue oxfords though (could even be suede).

I'll be the contrarian here. I'm a fan of black shoes, especially loafers (JM Weston 180's are the best) and double monks, but only with non-earthtone fabrics. However, the majority of my shoes are suede in various shades of brown.

Nothing wrong with black shoes, indeed with non-earthtone fabrics, I just prefer the softer contrast of a dark brown tone over black.

For what it's worth, the show was the busiest I've seen it since the pandemic, which is very encouraging. Florence itself was also busy, with a lot of non-Pitti tourists, for January. And one striking thing was the relative absence, this year, of the so-called Peacocks. I don't know why, but there were far fewer people dressed solely to be photographed. What there was, was a good many men and women dressed incredibly well.

The polo coat I'm wearing in that photo is by Eduardo De Simone. Angel made the jacket I'm wearing under the polo.

If my jacket is an indication, Angel's polo coat is likely to be superb.
