And you would know this because...?So many clowns...
Definitely a lot less peacocks this time (although I did catch a few..)!I'm not a photographer there to shoot pictures of others, so most of my photos are of my wife and I or us with someone else. Anyway, here are some of mine...

For what it's worth, the show was the busiest I've seen it since the pandemic, which is very encouraging. Florence itself was also busy, with a lot of non-Pitti tourists, for January. And one striking thing was the relative absence, this year, of the so-called Peacocks. I don't know why, but there were far fewer people dressed solely to be photographed. What there was, was a good many men and women dressed incredibly well.
Sure, there were a few. But as you say, noticeably fewer.Definitely a lot less peacocks this time (although I did catch a few..)!

He has an eclectic style.Looks like Peter has become a full-fledged Fashionista, in moving beyond his usual understated elegance.
After speaking with a variety of locals (hospitality and retail), Florence was marginally busier than in years prior due to Pitti, even pre pandemic the notion was that the show wasn't as big as it used to be in the mid-2010s - the city just doesn't sell out anymore because of it. Whether that's due to an increase in beds or an overall decline in tourism is another questionI'm not a photographer there to shoot pictures of others, so most of my photos are of my wife and I or us with someone else. From what I've read Italy had the highest tourism ever last year. Even with the crazy heat wave. After speaking with a variety of locals (hospitality and retail), Florence was marginally busier than in years prior due to Pitti, even pre pandemic the notion was that the show wasn't as big as it used to be in the mid-2010s - the city just doesn't sell out anymore because of it. Official figures state 20K visitors this Pitti, which I believe is still significantly below pre pandemic numbers. After speaking with a variety of locals (hospitality and retail), Florence was marginally busier than in years prior due to Pitti, even pre pandemic the notion was that the show wasn't as big as it used to be in the mid-2010s - the city just doesn't sell out anymore because of it. We are talking about the beds sold in Florence during Pitti and trade show attendees, not Italy as a tourism destination - Enit hasn't published FY23 data yet, just on-track data for up to 90% of 2019 levels for overall tourismFrom what I've read Italy had the highest tourism ever last year. Yes, that was him.The very first pic in this thread looks like @Cleav who used to be a regular poster on SF with invariably good fit pics.
Was that him?
Whatever happened to him?
