This is a Ladbroke with Southwold toe cap and medallion in Dark Oak 888.

There are people much better qualified to answer, but from my point of view I have always just called it a medallion.

just wondering for heavy antiqueing like that, does creasing lighten (discolor) the crease areas more easily on hand antiqued shoes like that?

I will let you know in time. This is the first pair of EG's I have got heavily antiqued and as you can see I have not worn them yet.

My EG seems to lose some of color at flex point, but still looks good regardless.

What a great idea to combine features of a couple of shoes--in this case, the Ladbroke and Southwold--to get exactly what you want! Those are absolutely stunning shoes. I think that the swan neck feature of the Ladbroke goes well with the slanted wingtip pattern of the Southwold, and adding the toe medallion to the more-usual form of the Southwold (or at least the way it's displayed in the EG catalog) is a great idea. Right there we see one big advantage of EG over most other top-tier shoe makers: the flexibility to give buyers exactly what they want in last shape, decoration, and color at close to a RTW price. When you say "heavily antiqued," do you mean that that's the way EG normally are, or did you ask for more pronounced antiquing than usual when you ordered them? In any case, the antiquing is really smashing on these.

Very unique. I assume at this point this the only pair in the world! I wonder how many EG models were results of client customization, "how come we've never thought this combo before? It looks great. Let's make it into our repertoire."

These are just sublime. They're different, yet they're understated and classic. Gorgeous.
