This is old technology. First, we punch holes in the sole. Small holes. We hammer the small wooden pegs into these holes. The diameter of the hole is smaller than the peg. So the nail stays in the hole without glue and everything else. The peg tucked into the hole. Simple physics. I think it's exciting. Here is a longer article on this by Mark Jaeger. These reports are so, so cool. Please pardon my ignorance, but how do those wooden pegs work? What holds them in?

We are offering re-soling service. Which is recommended once the soles are damaged. But for sure there are some good cobblers who can resole our shoes. I won't say that any cobbler can re-sole them...and not sure that they would look like the same as made by us.Can any cobbler resole your shoes?
Yes, indeed. ... but there are several great brands in Italy which are still made by hand and still made in Italy. Most of them still family business.Yes, I live in Italy and it's sad to see that many "Made in Italy" products are really made by Chinese workers with factories bought out by Chinese owners.
Although the bright side is, some of the craft is also past to other places without that history. I see many shoe makers in Asia making great shoes not, not just in Japan.

It takes 2 weeks roughly. We cut the whole sole down till the welt. Then we re-last the upper again. Sew new welt, soles, new heels etc... Basically we are rebuilding the whole shoe with the old upper. The price is not yet fixed since we just started. What does your recrafting service include, what is the cost and how long does it take?

You will be informed about the required repairs and price quoted accordingly. What does your recrafting service include, what is the cost and how long does it take?
