I believe the review embargo will be lifted today. It’s not some long drawn out process and no one in the industry is complaining about it.
The majority of quick takes that have been Tweeted out about the film have been positive. There’s been a fair amount of people who said they had issues with the film, but overall it’s good buzz.
Return of Skywalker is likely going to be enjoyable but safe. I don’t expect many big risks to be taken. Disney is trying to produce something here with broad appeal after witnessing the obsessive backlash some fans brought to the table with TLJ. I loved TLJ but don’t really blame them for this.
It’s going to be fun watching Wojt and Turk obsessively post YT reviews from dudes who pay their rent pumping out content meant to clickbait upset fans desperate for negative news about the franchise.
