Don't think I've seen anything from Collection. Is it a new split?

I want to grab a few pairs of replacement PS laces and I'm not willing to pay the ridiculous shipping charges. Anyone know how/where I can get them for a more reasonable rate? The retail shops, perhaps?

Didn't occur to me that there's a difference between mainline and Paul Smith collection. Any practical differences between the two, or are they just separate lines?

PS Collection seems to use somewhat higher grade materials and cost a bit more at retail but I've also seen mainline shoe use similar materials and also cost a bit more so in practical terms, there's not much difference.

The cordovan calf and red analine calf from a couple years ago come to mind as examples of the more expensive mainline shoes.

Tobi's got some PS on sale right now. York boots in black / brown suede / brown leather for $216 or $240 I think, depending on the type. Need to sign up for their mailer I believe (header was designer sale) - didn't see 'em by browsing by brand.

The PS Collection shoes I have seem to use higher quality leather than the mainline.
However there are also differences like that with models within the mainline brand which leads me to believe it's mostly random as to the branding.

Collection and Mainline are basically the same thing. Collection was/is a new branding strategy for the shoes (white box) but it's basically a mainline shoe. Not sure why York became part of the Red Ear brand. A lot comes down to how they market the product at wholesale. Some buyers/stores will only order certain labels from with-in PS. Very few stores take Mainline as it's at the high end in terms of price.

I got these in the yellow suede. Like them a lot. And they look good with shorts and white socks.

Actually I just have the orange and tan.
The reddish ones were the wrong size.

I have them in Red, not worn them yet! I like the buffalino Tan, might get a pair of Burtons in that colour.
