I have a similar "problem", though judging from the pictures, it's the other shoulder (my right shoulder) that is more sloped. I think in my case this is from old injuries, and is accentuated by poor posture while I'm working. Other than adjusting and correcting my posture, how would that sort of slope disparity be dealt with? Cutting the shoulders slightly differently, just more padding on the dropped shoulder, sleeve head adjustments? I'm genuinely curious about this, as it drives me a bit batty when I see it in the mirror.

I'm not a tailor and I don't play one on the internet, I can only tell you what I think looks good. I found that the lower gorge helps and the higher gorge hurts sloped shoulders (although others may disagree), in terms of a construction remedy, I would ask on the "Ask a tailor" threak and get an answer from someone that actually cuts and sews garments for a living.

Latest fitting with Frank, cloth is Minnis Fresco. Left shoulder looks particularly dropped vs. the right. Jacket may look a bit short but I think that is the angle of the photo. Wrinkling of sleeves will be cleaned up with a press. Shirt is also Ercoles.

I see you went for a three button coat rather than a two button one. It does look short, it is very similar to your previous suit. Do you have side shots?

:brick:

Didn't even think of that. Already addressed there, too.

Sorry to interrupt the thread, all. As you were.

Correct, it is a 3-roll-2.5, the true buttoning point is somewhere between the second and third. I will try and grab a few side shots when possible. Frank and I fooled around with the fronts a bit, ultimately, I was pretty pleased with how the balance turned out.

Frank likes cutting shorter suits, you really have to pull his leg to get him to drop them. Great fabric, Axel.

Take side pics to evaluate the front and back balance, I think that's his weekness. He did a suit for a friend, has a balance issue just like mine.

Had a first fitting for my new Lesser tropical suit. Would classify the fabric, a light navy, as pure sex. Will try and get some pictures up.

Yes I'd like to see pics. Thanks.

The forum could benefit from pics of that wheat fresco, I loved it!

If only I had taken any :-( . Will take some when I get the finished product this weekend. The fitting was pretty good and they hammered all the little details. It could end up as my favorite

I went to Ercoles this afternoon to have some pants taken in and decided to finally have a suit made. I explained to frank that I wanted to have a navy suit made where the jacket could also be used as a blazer. Basically a blazersuit. I looked at a few books but diidnt decide on the fabric. Frank was going to pull some things that where in my budget and show me when I go back for my pants. I am looking for something I can wear year round but now very little about fabrics. Any tips or suggestions when I go back?
