Which leads to a question I've had every time I see people going crazy for shoe tree sales.  Are people replacing old shoe trees with new ones or simply buying new shoes without trees?  Do old shoe trees need to be replaced?

I actually bought about a couple pairs of "good" shoes before I had the shoe trees. I have enough and don't need for a while. I heard about the sanding also.

People on SF > spend more time on SF > buy more shoes they learn about on SF > need shoe trees > need a sale before shoe trees are justifiable

Orlando, sartorial wasteland PSA:
Polo Outlet, Vineland road, purple label polos for $40 after discount. Don't see to many RLPL or RLPL in these woods, so have at it...

PSA - that outlet used to be (and perhaps still is) a RLPL gold mine. i've kopped staple RLPL sports jackets and suits, polos, dress pants and even EG shoes (including the grail-ish Grant) from that place. it's always worth a visit if you're in the area, although there are indeed many times when it's completely dry

You can get 3 pairs of shoe trees for $25 shipped from Jos A Bank. This works for other items, too. They're offering a "Buy 1 get 2 free" promotion on the entire site.
Enter code B1G2 for the deal and SHIPAPR for free shipping. (note that cut and pasting might not work. you have to type them in).
Shoe trees

Other accessories (hangers, etc.)

I got a batch of the contoured wooden hangers (the $15 ones, not the $24 cedar ones) and they're pretty nice. Certainly good for $5 each during these sales.

I've made it a habit of visiting weekly, as the gems seem to pop up randomly, if at all.

I was not aware of any decent shoe offerings, what section would the shoe shoe gems be found? The regular shoe section is usually dismal... :plain:

if you're facing the store from inside the outlet, the whole right side is the men's section. when i picked up my Grants they were in the shelves next to the doorway separating the "men's store" from the main outlet

My parents live near Orlando. Would it be wrong of me to ask my Mom to constantly go to the outlet to look for RLPL stuff? I think she would if I asked her - but I don't think I can bring myself to ask.

Not if you typed this in a basement with another browser window open making gifs and memes.

Haha sometimes I ask my Mom to pick up stuff for me (like these Jos. A Bank shoe trees although with free ship I ordered them this time). I usually get her something nice each time she does pick up something for me

edit: I am a college student though so might be a little different

If you won't ask her, I will.

The place sounds like a gold mine for RLPL. And to think I could have been in Florida this week and turned it down.
