It would definitely be oversized. Have you machine washed and dried your big shirt? Any shrinkage?
Sorry for the tardy reply! Yes, the Big Shirt did shrink a bit, I think, but I can’t say how much. Mostly length-wise. Maybe half a size, but certainly not a full size down.

I'd love to find this big shirt in wool gauze in a M. I've been searching for it every day.

I just found a size medium this week and bought it on a whim (I’m typically a L in EK shirts). I’ll be selling it if it’s too small for me to make work. So if that’s your size lmk.

I am interested if it doesn’t work out. Where did you find one in stock?

I tried a pair of the 34's in that fabric in the fall and the measurements on the website weren't accurate. Waist was around 17 inches at most, and that was fully stretched. I'm wondering if the 36's also run .5 inch smaller in the waist

remember, size is a social institution.... jk

waist measures 18.5 indeed at rest. could stretch to 19 if wanted. i think ~0.5in discrepancy is understandable depending on the fabric but im measuring 39 outseam and 8 hem. so yeah hem is def not over 9 inches.

ive also heard waist can be measured by folding at the middle instead of laying it straight to get a more accurate measurement (not sure if true)?

you got any ek for trade though?

also theres a retailer that has the plaid check BS for sale in S but its over retail lol.

Pant sizing is not super consistent in my experience. I have a pair of size 30 single pleats in typewriter that fit great as well as 2 pairs of size 30 4 pockets, while I couldn’t even squeeze into the size 30 single pleat cords from this season.

What size

The only EK piece I have is a field shirt, and it's a medium, so I'd assume M.

Please let me know if it's too small. Thats my size!
