I have 4497 in a 7.5UK and it fits my 8.5D foot pretty well. Great length wise, but perhaps a little wide for my foot.

I find Tricker's are mostly too wide for my taste, and the chap who works in the factory shop is a bit of an abrasive bore on a first impression as well.

I'm a US9D and wear a UK8½ Stow on the 4497. The size 8, while plenty roomy, is too short.

Bourtons on the 4444 are too big in size 8. Go figure.

I'm an 8.5FUK in Church's Double Monks and Carmina Simpson Last. 43 in Common Projects and Margeila GATs. US 9D in Red Wing 875s.

I ordered the Stow in 8UK but it's too short, swapping for an 8.5UK.

Those aren't the English made Tricker's you're thinking of. Note the orange lining and the label doesn't have the royal warrant feather logo.
I think the company is "Tricker's International". They're made in Italy.

No idea about the quality of those. But just be aware they're not the ones from England.

If they happen to be made by the factory that also made Brunello Cuccinelli's "Tricker's influenced" boots, then yeah they are way lower quality. That was by far the worst supposedly high-end boot I've ever handled in person, and for over 1000 USD too!

The Italian ones only every seem to be available from Italy based sites and ebay.
