Always scarred up? Not always, but it isn't unlikely due to the nature of wild kudu. Always wrinkly? This texture is 100% normal yes.

Yes, always wrinkly and always scarred. With the scarring it’s all down to clicking and where the scars end up.

I'm thinking of buying an unlined Trickers Robert derby but I've never owned an unlined shoe and am worried about the durability. How concerned should I be about it prematurely wearing out, losing its shape, etc? I plan to wear maybe once a week. I should say that none of the supposrd benefits of an unlined shoe appeal to me that much. I'm thinking of it as more of a liability
