1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Between the lot of you, how many hours a week do you spend running the site?
Do you make any money? break even? lose money?

Let's say, a lot of hours. We have over 600K readers a month, and over 12 million page views. That's a lot of moving pieces. It's our policy to not discuss the finances of the forum, sorry.

    New Styleforum logo (banner) too?

Maybe, we'll see. Probably not in the short run. We would like to keep the feel of the forum, while enhancing its usability and attractiveness.

Thats really exciting - can't wait. Id volunteer to test a beta if need be, just ask.

Noted. And will do. (scribbles on a piece of paper.)

Freudian slip like a true SF'er.

One (me) has to wonder whether SF will ever get gobbled up by a big media company..akin to how Chowhound was bought by CNET, I believe.

On that note, has there been a decrease in SF traffic the past couple of weeks? It just feels a lot less active than usual.

I understand. It is a bit of a mess, though...

Maybe you could consider a logo design contest to see what people come up with.

Manton and Metro left about a month ago. Fox hasn't posted in two weeks (vacation in Cortina?)
That alone should account for ca. 21 % of site traffic...

As long as there is still a way to get a "threads I posted in" list and a button that takes you to the first unread post...I'll be happy

why is there so much talk about AAAC and nothing about Sufu?

I'm not on either of the other forums, just curious.

I think the logo here on this site is great. Very subtle but well done.

Historically speaking, it might be because SF, as I've read here many times, started out with an emphasis on MC not streatwear.

What on earth is sufu? I think there's talk about AA and FL, little else.

SWD talks more about SuFu. MC talks about AAAC.

The forum was bought by someone? I have a hard time believing Ryan would sell it [IMG]

I guess I'm confused by what it means by a forum being corporate.
