Bliss. These Nick's x Zuriick Williams are wonderful boots. Despite what someone told me, they don't fit at all longer than White's. I am glad I got the same size. (Which is also my size in Red Wings...all 9.5 D. I am a 10D in Allen Edmonds Park Avenues). Quality-wise, they are at least as good as White's, but hard to say if they are better yet. Leather is very pleasing.

Regards,
Jon

I've always felt that Nicks stitching is a little cleaner, especially with the Mackay stitching in the front without the welt.

Almost chose them over white's but I couldn't wait that long.

I have heard about the 20-week waits for Nick's, which is why I bought these RTW from Zuriick. They were also 20% off, with free shipping, so I felt they were something of a deal at $340, all in.

Jon

Ha, I remember someone complaining once that Nick's were just like White's boots made by Viberg, and I thought "sounds like the perfect boot to me!"

BTW, I am sure this has been addressed, but how does the arch support in Nicks compare to White's?

I find the arch support fairly similar between the two. I am quite fond of it. I believe both companies offer boots without the special high arches, but that would be missing the point, I think. I am still not ready to talk about definitive quality differences, but I feel maybe the Nick's x Zuriick's 6" William in Burgundy edge out the White's Semi-Dress boots. On the other hand, I also got a pair of lace-to-toe Smoke Jumpers from White's, and they are flawless...I mean that...I am picky, but couldn't find anything wrong with them. They even came with both leather and nylon (?) laces, as well as a tiny container of the heavy-duty leather preservative.

Jon

They look really great!
I remember reading somewhere that the William sold by Zuriick did not have a celastic toebox.
Otherwise, how firm (stiff) is the toe area from the outside? I'm not particularly fond of a collapsing toebox!

Thank you!

There is no stiffener in the toe at all...The toe easily depresses completely with a push by the finger.

Sorry for not responding sooner. Thank you for your kind feedback. They are very satisfying boots. I am tempted to get more from Zuriick and/or Nick's. Without the sale price, though, I would be tempted to place an order with Baker's. On the other hand, 20 weeks would feel like forever.

Jon

I like the zuriick makeups too, no wait and standard D widths! but the lack of vamp lining is a downer, because the roughout inside would pull my socks tight against the toes when putting them on (esp with fuzzy winter socks). the inside vamp eventually has gotten smoother, but took a couple months to get there.

I have a question about the hot shots. I currently wear the contender. I have had these for almost 8 years and have been considering doing the whole fit sheet for the hot shots. My question is will I notice a difference in these or will I be upset that I spent the extra money? Thank you for your help.
