Didn't Ed make some burnt orange cashmere ties? Will has some orange challis ties, you must have seen them though.

That sucks. I hate when I am hesitatnt to pull thr trigger and the item is no longer available or price goes up rather than down. Haven't checked out Will's offerings- thanks for the heads up.

I would not pay 100 quid for a tie. I have 2 Drakes scarves (wool and reverse silk) that I really love. ASOS have currently a few scarves left on sale, any other good source for silk or linen Drakes scarves on discount? Somebody was trying to sell the 2 linen ones here.

With regards to pricing - the Marinella silks are probably marginally higher quality than the Drakes which might explain the price difference. Edit 2: This page at the London Lounge explains it further turns out that Marinella buys all of their silk from England - even for their Made in Italy range.

The point about the similar patterns is that Drakes , Marinella , Cappelli and other rispectable company use only the best fabrics available and probably in some cases the suppliers of the fabrics are the sames. Yes , Marinella use only made in England silks There are some small suppliers in England that produce their ancient madders only for Marinella, In Italy is common to say that Marinella produces very tradional english ties in Italy, while Drakes produce very stylish , modern and "Italian" tie in England. Regards

These cashmere ties are not in the sale - we currently have customers waiting for these still and missing colourways should be available within the next week to 10 days.

Kind regards

Kathryn

I originally read this as they were restocking the sale ties.

For anyone not in the UK - GBP105.00 - 20% VAT makes them an expensive but not so painful 84 quid. I suppose you then ask them to post via Parcel Force World Wide delivery which is the cheapest option i think.

The point is that Drakes definitely make ties for Marinella or at least have done in the past.
