I think that could've been a genuine mistake on the seller's part. The shipping cost in the auction template is set, and if the seller doesn't pay attention, it remains the same for every auction. The body of the auction does indicate a different shipping cost, i.e. 30 euros. In any case, the seller should be responsible for the inconsistency in price. But this is far from being a black and white case.

That is exactly what I stated in my e-mail to him.
But he never fixed the same mistake on his other auctions and relisted them again, despite my numerous sugestions to him to fix the shipping error.

He blamed me for his error and questioned my intentions. That is the main reason I don't want to deal with him. I have no trust in this person.

I should have read his auction more carefully. I would have seen other warning signals, like 4% extra for PayPal paymnets ,but I am so used to dealing with people who know what they are doing...

I wanted to see if he's consistent.

So I Emailed him a question about shipping to Texas, USA.

Here is his reply:

"Hello, shipping to USA would be 40 dollars, 30 euro like there's write on description. On shipping calculator there is an error!! Thanks for looking and best regards from Florence, Italy!
Nick
"

So. he hasn't changed anything! He should know there is a problem by now.

You know the route. Initiate a Paypal charge back complaint and you'll get your money back. Since the transaction has never been completed, it's a pain if you have to go that route.

On a related note, he said that I paid for shipping to Italy ($20.00), but his auctions show shipping to Italy as $40.00. His auctions on .it .de and .nl sites state the same: shipping to Italy=$40.00
I don't think he is doing this on purpose to scam buyers. I tend to think he is incredibly lazy or just plain stupid.
