This past month I put a lot of upgrades on the bike. I got rid of the hand guards/turn signals and replaced with Rizoma mirrors. Installed fancy resivoirs, tail tidy, axle sliders, gas cap, and shorty levers as well as carbon fiber bits. Next is a Leo Vince cat delete and slip on which arrived last week. I also painted the engine bash plate, foot pegs, and handle bars black. Last photo is what it used to look like.

After taking a few months to recover from a careless driver totalling my last bike (and almost me along with it) earlier in the year, I'm back on two wheels.

2016 Triumph America.
Office chair on wheels.
Let's see how long I last at leaving it the way I got it...

Looks awesome, but how do you open this with normal sized hands?

I got rid of my catalytic converter and put some mid pipes and a slip on exhaust on. That cat weighed about 25 lbs. The bike sounds so much better now and the weight loss is quite noticeable. I've got a Power Commander on order and when it gets here I'll install it and then have the bike dyno'd which will result in better performance.

Care to share the details?

All I remember is coming down the road, seeing a car start to move from a side street and saying aloud 'don't f***in do that'. Then awoke briefly lying on the road dazed with umpteen people standing over me and running around, and back to black.
Another short burst of consciousness as I was loaded onto a helicopter.
Then waking up in a hospital bed.
I lost most of 3-4 hours of memory including about 5 seconds before the impact.

The driver apparently pulled out, running the stop sign, didn't properly register my presence until their vehicle was all the way out into the lane, then panic stopped instead of hitting the gas.

Head through rear passenger window, and ****** made a giant dent in the door. Was on a walking frame for a couple of weeks and a cane for another month.

Just rode home with a 2019 Triumph Scarmbler 1200 XC and couldn’t be happier. It’s only my second bike but compared to my earlier Thruxton it’s way more comfortable and eats up city potholes with ease. Will take it on a spin on some fire roads this weekend.

It's a great bike! I've had 3 Scramblers in the last 12 years or so, and loved them all. I am actually considering making the plunge again myself.

I'm glad you survived that horrible experience.

Very cool.
