You might look at this guy's work (he does bespoke and recently had a show at Colette in Paris.) He does hand saddle stitching.:

IMO, April in Paris can sometimes be rather sloppy in the stitching department.

(A few years ago the Hermes Fleming MC2 wallet, in Evergrain, was $1350. (plus tax)...I'm sure it's more now.)

Peter Nitz sounds interesting.

I met Beatrice of April in Paris at Bergdorf a couple years ago. From what I could tell, the workmanship was nice, but I didn't like the default designs or the leathers available, which tend to be very bright and jewel-towned. I understand she can be very flexible design-wise, but I honestly didn't want to go through the thought process on my end. I've also heard she has every color hide one can imagine, but what she showed me and what she said she could do sounded much more limited. Maybe it's different if you can visit her shop in San Francisco.

what the **** is up with this green wallet bukkake? Congrats to Foo, but in this case, the wallet is only significant because of the story behind it.

Well, I for one, didn't realize the rarity of a high-quality breast wallet in the right shade of green until I started looking for one. Valextra has a nice breast wallet, but the pebble-grain leather has a weird rubbery feel to it and the available green is dull and washed-out.
