This is the first original animation we've produced for Put This On.

In 1964, LBJ called Haggar to order some pants, and the call was recorded. It's basically the most magical audio in the world.

It absolutely is. We got it from a historical archive. All the calls at the White House were recorded at the time, Johnson had the system installed.

Same reason any guy carries one: to use it when cutting something makes life easier.

And I heard this before, but the animation is neat.

Those lines, plus "add an inch 'cuz they cut me there" made my freaking day.

Wonder if he was drunk.

I think he was sober. I mean, he's on his way to a funeral.

This was mild stuff for LBJ, he was a seriously crude motherfucker. Read somewhere that he would hold meetings with his staff while taking a crap or having an enema.

I have to hand it to the guy on the other end of the phone for keeping his **** while the President of the United States talks about his nutsack and bunghole. It's like an episode of Crank Yankers.

+1 I once had the pleasure of meeting historian Alan Brinkley who told me some hilarious stuff along these very lines. Brinkley's favorite sources were members of Johnson's security detail, whom LBJ tended to regard as furniture and background noise. There just wasn't much he would say or do in private that he wouldn't also say or do right in front of them.
