Has luxire ever done a GMTO type order? For example: someone sends in an Eidos Ragosta for replication and Luxire then can post that as a pattern for people to copy. I guess it would really depend on someone sending in that garment for replication.

Not per se - but if you are interested in particular stylistic details then usually someone here has done it before, and can give you an order number for Luxire to refer to for measurements / proportions.

Definitely an interesting idea, with some small wrinkles in ensuring the brand being replicated never hears about it, as that drifts into infringement. It does raise an interesting question though, if like some shoe group made to orders, if there was a fabric, style, details that could be agreed upon that are then cut and sewn at the same time to potentially create some efficiencies (he says without understanding the logistics of it all) that would be cool?

To me there's a difference between Lux offering to make whatever you like and allowing you to base your request on existing garments, and someone running a shop for RTW reproductions of designers' products, which has never been their model.

I agree.

With Luxire, I suffer from analysis paralysis; there are so many choices of fabric, so many customizable options. I've been satisfied with my 2 trouser styles so far, but if I move to a jacket I wouldn't know where to start.

It would certainly help if there was a section on the forum again where you could just look at pictures instead of digging through the pages and people could put their descriptions up.

I’m looking to buy a pair of trial pants using standard sizing. I didn’t see a size chart for the pants anywhere. Does anyone know if it exists and where it is if it exists? Also anyone try standard sizing with pants before? Thoughts?

Hey gang, received a shirt and a pair of trousers from Luxire. Fit on the trousers is almost passable for being a first attempt, but the shirt is beyond redemption I fear. I sent Lux the measurements Shirtonomy uses (by whom I've been measured) and the shirt came out huge, when my Shirtonomy shirts are a bit on the tighter side. Suggestions on which measurements to alter for my next order? My thoughts are:

Trousers: legs generally need to be widened, especially due to bunching around knee and socks getting caught on the pants. Waist could be taken in a little as it's loose even with the side bars pulled all the way in. I also believe the legs need to be lengthened a bit. It appears the dreaded Luxire wedgie didn't strike me with too much force, but the derriere could nonetheless use some work. I'll also go for darts rather than pleats next time around

Shirt: don't know where to start. Sleeves are too short, body is too wide and far too blousy in the back. Shoulders extend far beyond my natural shoulder. Pocket is also far too large for my liking. Which measurements should I alter?

Pictures below. Apologies for potato quality.

When I bought my first shirt from Luxire this spring, I used my measurements from Shirtonomy. They measured me in September last year. The shirt I received from Luxire was perfect. I tweaked a few measurements from my order from Shirtonomy. When I ordered my second trial shirt with from Luxire, but with another collar, the result was the same as the first time. You can send these pictures to Luxire and ask which changes they would make to your next order.

@luxire - what is the provenance of those fabrics listed on your website for which no mill/distributor is specified? How do we know whether a fabric is of "good quality" when we are not chosing fabric from a specific mill/distributor?
