I like a short sleeve tee under a long sleeve tee.

Realistically though, I never understood the long sleeve tee under short sleeve. That's fine if for some reason you need to wear a short-sleeved uniform, but to wear a henley under a Salty Dog Cafe tee shirt never made sense.

Neil Barrett loves this type of layering, and he has the shirt in shirt thing in pretty much everyone of his collections. It's a very casual look. Contrasting, plain neutral toned tees or tonal, complementary tees can work. The key is for the shirts to be fitted, but relaxed (no underarmor for you) and no graphic tees (unless you are in an air metal band, in which case, a black concert tee over a white thermal is always good...)

I used to wear a long sleeve over a short sleeve t-shirt when I was really into grunge back in the 90's. Then again, I was also only 13 years old, so take that as you will. I do think it can look good though, like how LA Guy was describing it.
