Cole Haan and Johnston Murphy still make some very respectable shoes. There are much better options in the price range, though.
UNIFORM LA CHILLICOTHE WORK JACKET Drop, going on right now.
Uniform LA's Chillicothe Work Jacket is an elevated take on the classic Detroit Work Jacket. Made of ultra-premium 14-ounce Japanese canvas, it has been meticulously washed and hand distressed to replicate vintage workwear that’s been worn for years, and available in three colors.
This just dropped today. If you missed out on the preorder, there are some sizes left, but they won't be around for long. Check out the remaining stock here
Good luck!.

Eh, we all have to make up our own minds about what consitutes good value for our money. But here's what put me off them:
Looks like some terrible quality leather. Are those glued soles?
Yep, glued. Thought I'd wear them as rain shoes -- they looked nice enough at the time -- but now I don't wear them at all. As far as I can recall, they're the worst shoes I've ever bought.
How would I know if the Air Madero is cemented? I think it's their lower-end line, and is the most recent model. Thanks!
I think your air jacksons won't last long. I actually have two pairs of Cole Haan Santa Barbara loafer shoes (purchased on sale for $99 each):
I would say Cole Haan, Johnston Murphy, & then in 1,246,876th place Kenneth Square Toe Cole
Cannot stand J&M, have had a few pairs and they all fell apart...junk.
