I'm interested in the Kipling loafers. Can anyone kindly provide sizing advice on the 4596 Last?

I wear 10EUK in both the 8000 and 7000 lasts. Slightly on the looser side because of the elongated shape, but no way I can size down 1/2.

If helpful, I also wear 10E in the C&J 337 last, but I had to size down to 9.5UK for the C&J Cavendish tassel loafer on the 363 last. But the 363 seems to be a longer last with a narrower toe box compared to 337. Plus it's a loafer.

Guess my question is should I likewise size down to 9.5E on the 4596 for this last shape and the fact it is a loafer, or take my "regular" JL size in 10UK? Definitely want to avoid heel slippage, but not have my toes smushed in the toe box.

Just FYI - the Cavendish is on the 325. But C&J does make some loafers on the 363 (Handgrade only).

You would definitely notice a difference and although a thick sock may work it can't guarantee a perfect fit. Sometimes it depends on the style / model. Which ones are you thinking of?

Jazz, that 7000 last is really narrow. If you have a normal fit, EE width will be ok IME.

My feet are slightly wide and I have ordered a EE width in 9795 (The William II)!!.

Unfortunatey, 7000 and 8000 last are not for my feet.

Those Philipe II are really great shoes!!

Jazz, as zapasman said you won't really see the difference but make sure you pick a UK size 10. Sizing down for a loafer could make the shoes fit too short for your size. Trust me, I know very well your size ...

One issue with loafers if they are too big is your heels can slip out if they are loose. However, with the Philip II loafer pattern it helps slightly because it comes high up your foot compared to most other loafers.

^^ As for loafers, if between sizes I say go for the smaller size. In my experience, a loafer too large eventually doesn't get worn, whereas, a loafer slightly too small will typically stretch out, and, after awhile, actually become the ideal size.
