Thanks for the advice!
Apologies for pushing it but BTW, I’m a 7.5 in all Tods Ferragamo Bally shoes... would you recommend I spring for a 6.5 E UK in John Lobb City II? Philip II a bit Over my budget (wife will know either way as she handles my finances haha ...).

Belgrave - black
Charles II - black
Hallam - brown
EG - brown

too hard to recommend, it would be logical for you to wear 6.5, but you also wear 7 in 337 last....

JL is over your budget why not just buy another pair of carminas or CJ? Frankly the City II is not best looking shoe anyway. Safe the money and buy a black oxford from the other brands you already own, makes sizing easier also. I know the feeling of really wanting to own a pair of JL. Are they nice looking yes, worth the extra money - not really in my opinion. but my budget allowed it and so I went for it.

Looking at a pair of City II's (7000 last). I am a brannock size US 9.5D. My gut is to go for a size 8E UK. I'm in between ordering a 8 and an 8.5; however, if I had to guess the 8 would maybe a bit snug but the best fit. Anyone have similar sizing data points?

I go down 1 size from my Brannock on 7000, so 8.5UK. Might help to give more info about other fits that work and foot shape.

Try on both sizes if you have a chance

Asking for a quick size opinion on the Lopez. Apparently they run a little big?

C&J 337, 9UK
C&J 325, 9UK
Alden Aberdeen, 10US (a little too narrow in forefoot)
Alden Truebalance, 10US
Trickers country lasts, 9.5UK
Vass F, 43EU

I had one chance to try on some Lobbs a few years ago in the City II. I remember trying both 9UK and 9.5UK and either probably could have work.

You guys think 9UK is my best bet in the Lopez?

Hey y'all, what do you think about JL William Double Monk Straps? How is the sizing / fitting on the William compared to the City II or Edward Green 202 last?

Thanks guys!

I really like them. Don't own them... yet. But have seen them and really dig them, I think they work great for casual or business combos.

Becketts in Espresso Black Calf on the 8000 Last

These look nice. What I find extremely interesting though from this pic is that the gap at the lacing on this pair of yours is smaller than almost every other pair you have, by looking at your IG, but my experience is quite the opposite. I have the Becketts too and I find that the 8000 last has a very low instep, lower than the 7000 last and lower than most of the other manufacturers. I'm wondering if you had to go half a size up or a width up. I love the Becketts but I kind of gave up on them because of this. But maybe is it conventional wisdom that you should go up in size on the 8000 last or this model specifically?

I take an 8F on the 202 (wood) and a 8F on the resin (but only on the 202) otherwise I half size up on the EG but a 8EE on 9795 - numerous pairs on both lasts.
