Jersey jacket design advice

Hi all, I have a thick jersey fabric in hand (600g?, 70% wool 30% cashmere) and is asking a tailor to turn that into a jacket.

Sourcing cuffing and collar has been a headache though. Would wool shearling not go well for collar / cuffs? I can settle with melton / ribbing otherwise (finding good ribbing is just as hard though it seems)

Advice anyone? 🙏🏼 🙏🏼 🙏🏼

one idea would be to reel off some of the yarn out of the fabric you have and set it aside , and then use that yarn to knit the ribbing directly onto your project . or , make a rib trim out of the yarn and then have your tailor cut n sew it on .

either way you'd have to figure out how to get the yarn out of the knit fabric ( super easy ) and then manufacture your own trim ( not so easy ) or find a knitter or tailor who could do . the good news is the chunkier the knit the easier it all is to do .

Thanks. I did think about it but we don't seem to have enough knitters / tailors over here that'd entertain my request🤷‍♂️
