the few pieces of clothing i have from them so far fit like the model who was wearing them. i don't got a problem with them. looks like the model is wearing the clothing not baggy but not tight either.

i take typically extra small with most brand of clothing but i always check their size charts it at least gives you a idea. i'm not saying the size charts websites have could be considered accurate.

Explain.

Rugby rips off Polo which, at worst, can be described as well within their right. Seriously, if you take a Polo item from the last few seasons there's usually a Rugby counterpart for that item in a shrunken size. If anything Rugby has capitalized on the popularity of BoO. Some poor branding decisions aside, I like the Rugby brand when it can be had at discount. I'm wearing tan Rugby cords right now and they're the best slim cords that I own.

Why has no one mentioned Steven Alan ripping off J. Crew?

Ya think? I've always felt that they're going after the A&F, Hollister, et al market which makes me feel kind of like a creep for wearing it (sorta like the 30 year old women who shop at Delia's and Forever 21). If you go to their website it's all marketing towards high school and college kids.

It's my perception that J. Crew's target audience is more late 20's-early 30's professionals.

rugby sizing is ridiclously small... i think its for middle/high schoolers, not college kids/normal sized people

J.Crew has decided to up its discount for college students (and teachers, too) to 15%. The e-mail I got said it's only for in-store purchases and explicitly excludes phone and internet orders (whether or not that's actually true is another matter).

At least the discount is actually a discount for me now as opposed to a glorified tax rebate (hooray for 10% sales tax).

i don't think j.crew is bad as a&f and hollister. a lot of a&f and hollisters clothing have some kind of logo visible on the outside easily. the only couple things i saw at jcrew with the logo visible is some graphic tees.

until you graduate college, i think. the email says it also applies to teachers, and i'll assume "teachers" includes grad students, ftw!

Sometimes they say you have to give your student email address if you don't have your ID. It's fine either way since they have no idea if it's a real or fake email address.

They actually ask for an email address during every transaction.
