The Cortina glasses look like something a Vice journalist would wear at Burning Man while microdosing and dancing to Justice's "D.A.N.C.E."

they absolutely have a similar shape and feel as the “shine blockers” you saw everyone wearing at the clubs

Don't they remind you of early 2000s hipster glasses?

No knock on early 2000 hipsters, as I spent time in the MIssion District at that time and partied with people like that. Just saying the style reminds me of the era.
Not gonna lie, I tried to emulate LA's Cobrasnake as much as I could, minus these shades.

I think the shutter shade similarity and the fun colors (not black or vint tort) do sort of make them look like cheaper shades. In a way I really dig that, the yellow or blue have a fun sort of "grabbed these last minute in a market stall cause it was sunny" vibe. So they're incredibly well made shades that don't instantly say 'expensive' like some of the more austere JMM materials. I hope we see more wild colors in the future!
