Read the article... it says that a Brazilian company approached WWF with the idea; they didn't make it themselves. WWF said no.

This is disgusting. As a New Yorker I find it highly offensive, its basically saying that 9/11 was nothing compared to the tsunami, which is extremely disrespectful. The article says it well, "Okay, so who wants to make a mock-up of 1,000 Nazi soldiers being catapulted into Thailand?" Pathetic. edit: check out the video they made http://gothamist.com/2009/09/02/vide...11-inspire.php

I love this guys comment on the video:

Is that their ******* tagline?

"The Earth is brutally powerful."
"Respect it."

Honestly, piss-poor on all fronts. This was obviously an attempt for some jackasses to put together anti-American Appreciation with a useless moniker embossed in the sanctimoniousness of the World Wildlife Fund.

If some equally assholish Americans wanted to counter, here's what it'd be:

Man desperately runs to outpace the Bandeh Aceh tsunami. Crawls through underbrush, dashes on top of dead bodies, finally reaches high ground. Camera pans down to sneakers, which have a Nike swoosh on them.

"Just Do It."

That's just about equal to the idiocy and insensitivity displayed in this vomit.
