It doesn't even work as an advertisement given the resentment it will bring about. The other ad that they link to in the article is actually pretty creative though. This is disgusting. As a New Yorker I find it highly offensive, its basically saying that 9/11 was nothing compared to the tsunami, which is extremely disrespectful. The article says it well, "Okay, so who wants to make a mock-up of 1,000 Nazi soldiers being catapulted into Thailand?" If some equally assholish Americans wanted to counter, here's what it'd be:

Man desperately runs to outpace the Bandeh Aceh tsunami. Crawls through underbrush, dashes on top of dead bodies, finally reaches high ground. Camera pans down to sneakers, which have a Nike swoosh on them.

That's just about equal to the idiocy and insensitivity displayed in this vomit.
