Longtime lurker, first post.

East Coast (South) but spent a lot of time in Western Europe when I was younger. Investment Banker turned MD, still retain some Fleet Street tastes, especially my English shoe fetish.

Appreciate a good haircut, a close shave, tailored clothing, and fine shoes.

A former heavy poster on shaving forums and own a bevy of straights which I hone on WWII era Japanese stones.

Part cowboy too. I love my boots. English and Lucchese.

New guy here from the Netherlands.

I've been interested in menswear for quite some time but my tailoring wardrobe is very limited (I own 2 Suitsupply suits and that's about it). Hoping to change that soon and hope this forum can help me out with that.

If anyone has any tips on menswear in the netherlands, good online places to get cheap quality things (i.e. second-hand, like Vinted), or anything else that could be of use to someone starting out, I'd be happy to have your advice.

Just your typical mix of Italian and the midwest.

I am the suit specialist at the local Saks Fifth Avenue store.

Suiting is my passion. I love meaning behind it.

I do love Suitsupply suits. I have quite a few pieces from the Jort collection.

I love whites and blues together, especially with stripes.

Hi there, I'm a frequent shopper at Saks in Beverly Hills. Would you mind emailing me offline, perhaps you'd be okay with working remotely as a stylist? Happy to have you aboard!

Hello everyone, It is a pleasure to be joining you all on this forum. I have been following styleforum for many years because of my excessive obsession with classic leather shoes, which has now developed into a passion for classic menswear in general. I have learnt many things on this forum and felt that it was time for me to start contributing as well as to share useful info with the community as well :)

Hello everyone !

I'm a 32 year old man from Chartres, France. I'm an Italian style lover (mostly Napolitan) for spring and summer and I switch to more of an English style when the temperature cools down.

I've known this forum by reading Hugo Jacomet's book Italian Gentleman in which he says that this forum is a true mine of information. So I'm looking forward to learn a lot !

Regards.

Hi

Very new here. I am from and live in the Caribbean. Love the idea of being well-dressed. Love the Italian style but find something attractive about the English style too. Owner of an IT Integration business and Engineer thus an Occupational Bias, toward getting the best bang for my (hard earned) bucks. I am thus always looking for maximizing my investment and have had to set some price ceilings ...
Learning a lot already.
Glad to be here.

A lurker from the UK. Into classic/vintage motorcycles and anything that looks good on or near them.

I'm keen on Belstaff and was hoping for some advice on leather jacket care. I've googled it and there's so much conflicting advice, it's no help.

Cheers.

Hugo is a class act. He's insightful and suave without being pretentious. Everyone on the forum should become acquainted with Hugo Jacomet. Welcome to the forum!

How do you feel about spending money on non-essential goods during the Covid-19 crisis?

  • I don't want to spend money at a time of economic uncertainty, even if I could afford it.

  • I feel compelled to spend to help small businesses that are struggling.

  • I reduced my budget for non-essential goods and I'm not spending at the moment.

  • Not much has changed for me and I'm still buying stuff I can't afford.
