I hate my friends who decide to have an outdoor wedding in Texas from May through September. **** them.

I went to a wedding in Houston this year on September 28th. 6pm start time, outdoors, black tie, and I sweat. Mercifully, it rained during the day and was overcast, but I had brought a battery powered fan just in case.

I had to go to an outdoor wedding this year near Austin on September 1 at 6pm. Reception was indoors and everyone was relaxing in the AC but the wedding planner or whatever made everyone go sit outside at 5:50. Bride and groom took their time and actual ceremony wasn’t until about 6:20. I still hate them for that. I seriously haven’t spoken to either one since the wedding.

Talking about #menswear on the internet is bullshit. Ever wonder what you could do with those hundreds (thousands?) of hours wasted?
...are you seriously suggesting that watching Appreciation would have been better ? How sick are you?

Did anyone know that Dincklelacker did a collab with Junya Watanabe in 2016? They should pay Ed a fee because their designer obviously reads this board

"Italians are absolutely inept at making proper classic dress trousers. Geniuses at coat making no doubt. Trousers? Fuggedabout it .........

You would have to hold their hands (shears) all the way through to the bitter end. And even then ....

Agree to the extent of a few brands popular on SF.
Then again, proper dress trousers in N. America, implies to me, a silhouette of a DOCKERS slacks with pleats removed. Only Varvatos, Made in Italy trousers, have a decent fit around hip and thigh.

Did not know this. Good article.

https://garage.vice.com/en_us/article/7xdv9x/michael-anton-styleforum

Back in August 2012, Anton started a thread, “How to Wear a White Shirt,” which noted that “Trump's signature is to wear some horrible bright satin tie in a color that clashes terribly with a white shirt.” But the betrayals of his earlier beliefs are more than aesthetic. In 2011, he began “Trump is #2 in GOP Field,” which would become the Current Events section’s main Trump thread. The text of the first post: “And #1 among Tea Party voters,” followed by three rage faces. When Trump tied Mike Huckabee atop one 2012 primary poll: sixrage faces. When Trump finally decided against running in May 2011, Anton wrote, “gr;tpos”—good riddance; true *************.

"Austerity" = no punched holes or any complicated designs.

Who coined the term Austerity? Vass?

Was it an SF invention, like "quarters"? (No tailors use the term "quarters" but it's used here extensively)
