Here is a rather embarassing predicament I'm in now:

I'm one month of daily wear into my beloved APC NS and two days ago while I was eating ice cream, I clumsily let some drop on the lap/crotch area.

At the moment the spot looks faded away (erm... yeah about that). Is there anything I could do to remove it without washing? Or keep wearing and hope that it fades away?

There's always the dry cleaning route.

If your budget says you can afford the dior's then go that route but, IMO, there is certainly nothing wrong with the APC NS. NS's were my first pair of raw denim and they've served their purpose well.

(Assuming you get the APC from Denimbar and the Diors from thegrapist) APC NS $125/Dior 19cm $385 whodini is the winner. If you are just getting into raw denim, I suggest getting the NS first. $400 bucks to drop on a pair of jeans is steep especially if you don't know if its your thing yet.

That's cheating, taking away from the NS and adding to the Dior price :p Dior MIJ is $330, APC NS is $155. I win :p

Since the dior reselling bubble burst you can normally find a pair of dior mijs from $250-325 nowadays if you stalk the supermarket or here for a week or two.

I want to buy a pair of dry denim jeans so I can break them in myself and get a personalized fit and fade. im on a budget, so im looking at Levis 501 STF. What I'm wondering is, I know they are shrink to fit, but are they "dry" denim, where I get a custom fade? also, what are my other options in this category (also slim fitting) but in the under $100 range? ....or are these jeans crap and I should just fork out more for APC and get a longer run out of them?

Uniqlo makes raw selvage jeans for under 100. 80 something.

I really love the color of my 5EP LDB and want a similar color for another pair. Some people have suggested RRL. What other jeans have a dark blue-green hue?
