Bah, I just dont feel like it.

It was an action packed weekend, and I just feel like I need a day to recover. At the moment I'm watching OnDemand episodes of Entourage and surfing SF.

I'll just end up feeling guilty and working until god knows what time tonight. Or maybe I'll feel guilty and just go out and hit the sauce. Either way...

At least I'm not the only one. Will probably spend the first half of the day randomly surfing the net and spend the afternoon working flat out.

I ended up getting very little done. Just some adminstration and reacting to a few things that came up. At least I didnt go out for a boozy lunch followed by the afternoon in the pub .

Well tomorrow is another day

The good news is that you still have the boozy lunch on your to-do list. Perhaps tomorrow you can be proactive and take ownership of that particular action item: the boozy lunch folowed by the afternoon in the pub.

Me? I work for myself and also do some fixed price contract work. Putting stuff off mainly only hurts yours truly

I think he needs to work up to the boozy lunch. Perhaps tomorrow he can be motivated to do no work.

Interesting point. If I were to put "do nothing" at the top of my list one day, would I trick myself into feeling good about doing nothing, thereby justifying giving myself the reward of the boozy lunch?

I did answer the door when the postman rang earlier. He was delivering a pair of shoes though, so I guess I already got my win there.

I think this would show substantially more motivation than you've shown today. You'd have to be motivated to prepare a list, even if it contained only one item and that item is "do no work". I'm worried about you man. You opened the door to accept a delivery. That's perilously close to actual work. What if he'd been delivering a widget? You might have done actual work!

Would you be willing to be my sponsor (like in AA)? Anytime I feel like doing any actual work you can just direct me to a new thread on SF?

If I'm perilously close to falling off the wagon you might have to start a new "Dumb Thread" or find somewhere that we are making fun of Jon.
