Hey guys,
I haven't been so active lately, and this is basically why. Want to let you all know about an event that we're putting together this weekend. Umm, free booze...

Hungary's first fashion showroom is displaying today's best young Magyar designers during Paris fashion week. This historically grand country, poised between Balkan exuberance and Teutonic reserve, is a hotbed of emerging art and design. These designers are under one roof for the first time so now is the time to lead this trend! Come see them all at 197, rue Faubourg Saint-Antoine 75011 on Friday 3 October from 14:00 to 20:00--and sample Hungarian wine and palinka from 18:00! Also available for viewing on Saturday 4 October from 10:00 to 20:00, along with the rest of the wine and palinka...Please RSVP to [email protected] or +33 (0)6 89 06 89 16.

Returning to Paris is Hungary's design sensation, Nanushka. Since being named "young designer of the year" in Hungary in 2006, Nanushka has gone on to dress Charlize Theron, Blake Lively, and Selma Blair...the media have been paying attention also, with features in top international press (inStyle, Elle, WWD...). Designer Sandra Sandor's designs focus on long-lasting silhouettes, comfort, and functionality combined with a playful attitude and an eye on future trends.

OurStyle Showroom is proud to present Pazicski for the first time in Paris. Miklos Pazicski puts emphasis on the cutting edge but still creating the most feminine silhouettes. His style is characterized by combining nostalgia and traditional cuts with modern trends--updated vintage looks with a hint of insouciant glamour!

Also returning to Paris is USE Unused, whose designs go back to models and philosophies inveted by the designers of the classical '40s, '50s, and '60s coupled with modern trends. Their dresses are always of the best fabrics and have incredible handwork, as seen recently in Surface magazine.

For accessories, OurStyle will be showing Anh Tuan, who has been named "Young Designer of the Year" in Hungary for 2007 and 2008. The designer, Luu Anh Tuan, is Vietnamese-born but has lived in Hungary for nearly 20 years and has studied design in both Budapest and London; he takes inspiration from many trips around Europe and Southeast Asia. His bags are available in select shops now...

Also in Paris for the first time, Je Suis Belle are presenting their fifth collection and create a casual, playful, fantasy world for their customers. More Berlin than Paris, more London than Milan, Je Suis Belle bring a unique and feminine take on casual street style!

We're looking forward to seeing everyone later this week!

Kind regards-

That looks great. I think this is the first thread I have ever seen where all the members posting have customized membership status.

That one's a stylist. She said something like, "this dress doesn't suit the party, but I just love it so much!"

Hey, just saw the new responses here.

Event was OK, had some really good industry response, should be some media coverage. Not strong on sales yet, but not terrible. We're getting a whole lot of "economy sucks" so looking at some non-traditional sales and media techniques as we get ready for next season.

Mauro, that's really cool, I'll drop you a PM soon...

Hello all, Sorry to hear your event wasn't as good as you hoped tiger02. Sounds like a great time. Wish I could have been there to enjoy. I haven't noticed any media coverage on the event yet, but if you could direct me to it I'd be facinated to check it out. Thanks. Mary

Thanks guys. Just to note, the dress is actually eggplant. The color in the photos came out pretty badly so we had to go with b&w for now. Here it is:

From the same designer, this skirt is pretty spectacular:

Jim, the belt + long upper, you mean the first picture, on the right?

Thanks Mary, check your PM
