Nope! But that is exactly what I'm thinking about! I bought from a forum member and just sent me the shirt,no carton no nothing, but nice shirt.I prefer Delsiena of course!

Other option is to put buttons on the button side.

Thanks

You should just get or make the type of thing that everyone's talking about. A strip of fabric with buttons sewn on at the proper interval. Then you button it through both sets of button holes.

But what do you mean about a "formal" vs. "tuxedo" shirt?

Yes but I can't find the same poplin cloth... The other idea is to sewn buttons on the interior side, the one which should have the buttons while sewing the extremes of the holes.. When buttoned, it will look as an usual dress.

Formal, the kind of shirts we use at work with tie and suit, tuxedo and extreme shirt used just for aristocrat cocktail partys ...

What about sewing black buttons?

It shouldn't matter what kind of cloth the buttons are sewn to, unless you're describing some kind of shirt I've never seen. Also, again unless this is some unusual type of shirt, you won't be able to wear it for normal suit use. It will look weird.

What J said. The strip will be inside the shirt and hence invisible. It's never made out a "matching" fabric--usually some heavy twill IME.

But I too fail to understand what sort of shirt works as both a work shirt and a tux shirt.

I'll do!

Like I'm a true gentleman, with the jacket on it will look as an usual striped shirt, not one that have that striped thing only in the chest.

I never put my jacket off

I'm not sure how to explain it but the strip is placed on the inside of the shirt and only the buttons are visible once they are passed through both sets of buttonholes. Nothing else will be visible - will not look like a striped shirt at all

So wait, it's a tuxedo shirt, like with a pleated front (the little folds of fabric)? Even if you put buttons in it, it will still look like a pleated shirt, even with a jacket over it. Pleats look very different from stripes.

The only other option is that you are describing a tuxedo shirt that has stripes on it. Apparently these stripes are, for reasons I couldn't even imagine, only on the front part of the shirt? Could you post a picture or something, your descriptions thus far are remarkably unclear.

Last, I'd love to know what an "extreme shirt used just for aristocrat cocktail partys" is. That sounds like a hell of a shirt.

Well, the pleated or striped part is similar to a made to measure shirt I already got, but all the shirt had the stripes. With the jacket on ,it will be ok. My taylor gave me his ok, and liked the shirt a lot. here is a picture http://www.styleforum.net/showthread...40#post1747840 Sorry, it was deleted!
