X-post from Crusty's colorful Easter bash (AKA this week's FC). Tie and shirt seemed to have enough contrast IRL but in full light pics they kinda match/wash out. Square is, well, bright.

    G'night, doods!

Would be awesome if it was a suit, but alas, it's just the SC. And it's not even a real BB. This is an Italian version (@Anden told me it's made by Corneliani), not from tweed but a fairly lightweight cashmere. Quarter lined, so I can wear it in the local climate, unlike real tweed... The tie is BB of course.
Being a typical eurosnob, I always thought menswear was defined by the English and Italian tradition, perhaps with a bit of Continental Europe thrown in. I never even considered the rich American heritage, until I came here on SF. Lately, I got inspired by some of the trad/Ivy dressers on this forum to try it a bit myself. So thanks guys, for opening up an interesting new sartorial avenue for me to explore!

Today's attire was chosen with the weather in mind (it is to rain this afternoon in NYC), and it illustrates the downside of non-iron chinos - attempting to have them tailored leaves traces of their original configuration all over the place - grrrr.

Well, at least it's Friday, and not cold. Continuing with the Easter egg color scheme from yesterday, today's ensemble.

    Blazer & trousers - BB
    Shirt - Tyrwhitt
    Tie - Andrew's Ties
    Cufflinks - Penhaligon's
    PS - no name brand
    Shoes - Macgill & Co.

Good! Can be a little narrow down jacket.
And I'd like you to think about how to try to wear pants narrower cut. They always look better.
Please try at least once! Suddenly you will enjoy. :)

Thank you, Victor, for your suggestions. The jacket has already been re-tailored once - I will consult with my alteration tailor to see what can be done about it again. As for the trousers, going forward, I'll only be buying flat-front chinos, in my current size, rather than pleated chinos in a size larger than I am now - the downside of losing weight. :)

    Spasibo, tovarish!

Great! And great photo! (all - just super, very well chosen and great fit, but this scarf here is superfluous, it is the only niggle). Superb!

Victor, since you prefer words to thumbs, I love both the fabric and the fit of your three-piece donegal suit and think it looks great paired with the slightly darker shade of blue shirt. Shoes are also a great choice. The tie strikes me as a bit more formal than the rest of the ensemble, though--what do you think?

[Edit: This applies to the photos a few posts back, not the ones directly above!]

Looking good, Justin. I like the pink paisley.

I've found that for iPhone pics I get the best results either inside a place that has a good amount of natural light flooding in or outside in the shade - but either way direct sunlight or only fluorescent lighting is a killer of hopes and dreams.

Did the guy sitting in front of you give you weird looks when you were taking pictures of yourself?

I totally agree. I've been attempting to take different angles as well as locations. I'm pleasantly happy with the lighting in this pic. Just gotta up that game now

Lol I'm discrete. Plus dude is deep in his literature
