1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

By the way, is any one else's forum appearing very narrow in the last two days? Its like the central frame is being squished by the ads on the side.

^ ETB, now you must know how it feels to be a girl with large breasts.

OK, here's me today. Not quite Pliny's effortlessly understated style, but I'm still learning.

Scruffy, a bit tired, but the teaching term has ended and I really don't care...

Deets: old MTM jacket (whose lapels are still not going to get any wider), Phineas Cole shirt, vintage tie and waistcoat (it's -18 degrees C today - seriously - so I need the extra warmth), Capelli PS. Trousers are light grey VBC flannel and shoes are burgundy Florsheim Imperial longwings.

Any objections would have to come from sources other than myself - I spoiler most of the content of my postings as best practice, in terms of being a good "cyber-citizen", and not taking up too much column space.

Thanks for the compliment, in any case.

There's nothing like being at the top of a large building, awaiting Chinese dim sum, to improve one's appearance :).

Crusty, you look like 100x better in that pic than your posed ones. I guess it's the fact that it's a natural picture!

The fact that the picture was taken after 2:00 in the afternoon (rather than 7:00 AM), and the fact that I was on vacation when it was taken (as opposed to prior to the start of my working day) might have something to do with the case. :)

BTW, Murl, it would be an honor to meet you some day as well.

This jacket has fallen out of favor and typically only gets worn with jeans nowadays. I decided to try and work it back into rotation, but not sure how succesful I was in navigating the gray odd jacket issue. No pictures of shoes today, due to second-guesing my choice.

    Lovely pocket square!

Really nice overcoat, I especially like the way the collar is a little wider to show the jacket collar underneath. Obviously, I also like the polo collar!

The pocket square just kicks everything up to an entirely new level. Stunning collection of colors and patterns.

Been awhile for me. I'm reverting to Clags' style of photos because full-fit outdoor photographs in weather below 20 degrees Fahrenheit isn't gonna happen (at least on a regular basis).
