well, in days of old (before my time) SWD and MC were together. eventually, and rightly so imo, they were split. they really do not belong together. they are just too different, both the people and the style and there would be so much cross conversation and slapfights.

it seems that after that split, anything not jacket and tie pretty much left MC, and so, the casual thread was started. im not sure it quite belongs here, but the MC Cas thread is a pretty dead thread. there are also a lot of fits there that just dont make sense. not MC not SWD, and good feedback would help people to improve. just not sure people here really want to talk about that stuff.

it is an interesting quandary.

I have been trying to revive this week. I hope those stones weren't thrown my way. I assume the looks I have been throwing up there are the ones meant for that thread.

New PLR tie courtest of @spoopoker / Luxeswap.

Polo Ralph Lauren... definitely an improvement on some of your other ties, and I think it was one I put in a (merely hopeful) bid on myself... :)

@Pliny , first pic looks great and a really good example of how to bring out the best in a complex paisley tie, and I Iove the jacket, but the last pic makes the overall fit look rather washed out.

In light of this week's Friday challenge, this is probably the most FU I can do. Not a particularly loud pattern, but a three-piece tweed suit is always a bit FU these days.....

^ What a wonderful suit, Pingson! I think this is one of those rare occasions where a purple tie might work and really make it 'pop'. (And take you somewhat more into FU territory as well)
