1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Very nice minimalist fit. Good to see you posting on this side of the wall.

I really like the color of it. And also the color of the shoes is perfect. Compliments.

Yes... and no. Though the fit is of @cleav's usual high standard, I still consider this a rare stylistic faux pas by him. In the sense that it's a business fit, so not exactly dressed for the occasion of a family outing in Brighton. Just my personal opinion, of course...

A-ha, have to get up early to catch you out EliodA!

I was killing two birds with one stone...

Truth be told I had a contract meeting (win) on the Thursday with the local National Health Services. Left the family on the beach, changed, taxi, two hour meeting, back , changed out for dinner. Twas a good day! :nodding:

Dressed for a cold morning - outerwear will be superfluous by this afternoon, allegedly.

The weather has warmed up a bit, but I'm ignoring it today :)

I understand what you’re saying and I think your point is worth considering, but I also think that the decision of what to wear when traveling is as much a pragmatic/social question as a sartorial question. When I’m traveling on vacation I don’t dress all that much differently than when I’m home, so I’m usually in a suit and tie, or at very least a sport coat, tie, and dress trousers. If nothing else it saves me from having to return to the hotel to change for dinner.

More generally, a traveler in a foreigner country (and I understand this was not Cleav’s situation) will be assumed to be either a tourist or a business person. In my experience one is usually better off being assumed to be the latter not the former. Your mileage …

    Cheers,

    Ac

Thanks for all the thumbs on my last fit guys - appreciate it. For today I channeled my inner DonC and went for a knit tie.

Today's shoes came from Paul Stuart in NYC, though I strongly suspect that they were made for Stuart's by Magnanni, as I've seen the exact style (with a different sole) sold under Magnanni's name.

I play with the brightness of my photos as a matter of course, but my monitor at home is very vivid as it is - YMMV, but glad that you like today's photo.
