Hi all, this is my first post here.

After 10+ years, I need to replace my old London Fog Hemingway parka. Unfortunately, it's currently out of stock, possibly discontinued, so I'm seeking help in finding a similar coat.

Mel Gibson wore a jacket in the movie Ransom that looks very much like the LFH. The credits say his wardrobe was provided by Armani, but I haven't found anything by Armani that looks like it.

What I loved about my old LFH was that it was as useful as a North Face or Patagonia parka, but it was styled to be appropriate to city wear (i.e. buttons instead of velcro), so it didn't look like I was about to go camping.

Some of the nicer features of the LFH were:

  • bellows hip pockets with hand warmer pockets behind
  • hand warmer pockets at chest level
  • removable liner and hood
  • corduroy collar
  • microsuede material that had a really nice hand, that wasn't shiny and plastic-looking
I've been looking hard for a replacement, with no luck. If anyone has suggestions for something similar, I would really appreciate hearing from you.

Here's some pics. The Hemingway is on the upper-left.
