Poorly executed slanted pockets on a city suit look ugly. If they're executed too well they look like one is trying too hard. They're ok on country suit, but I would only put them on an actual hacking jacket.

We need FNB to give you one of his exquisite essay on the hacking pockets and their place in post-Victorian England...

+1

I see slanted pockets and think "there goes another Tim Gunn wannabe."

I greatly enjoy ticket pockets. And will continue to get them on my suits. I enjoy the look as well as the usefulness. Have not gone for the hacking pocket route yet.

Perhaps my first foray. What is the consensus on hacking pockets (fairly slight) on a Seersucker? I'm having one made in a few weeks? Yay or nay?

If you are American, no.

If not, maybe.

Now we're talking. Not everything good has to have Vesuvial ash in it.

I use my ticket pocket to hold by building pass for work . Pretty convenient as I refuse to wear a lanyard. May try it again.

Not even in The New Avengers (from which that is a picture) would Steed have worn seersucker, hacking pockets or not.
