3. The Tailor of Panama (2001)
4. Most of the Bond films (1965-Present)
5. Another Country (1984)
6. My One and Only (2009)
7. White Squall (1996)
8. The Remains of the Day (1993)

Memorable suits in movies? Perhaps not the same genre as you are speaking of but Rain Man (1988) comes to mind. And of course, Blues Brothers and Wall Street. But for me, Rain Man pops up first. Their first appearance in those suits as seen on the escalator accompanied a turning point in the movie, so the suits had their own significance, too. Oceans 11 sort of mirrored that device but RM did it first and best, imho.

Ralph Fiennes' character's classic English tailoring in The Constant Gardener. Caught side tab trouser adjusters in at least one scene.

LA Confidential, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Philadelphia Story (1940), pretty much anything that Fred Astaire was in.

There are so many...

Not a huge fan on the film, but The English Patient's Count Lazlo has some great WW2 desert style.
